downtown_chico_christmas_preview.jpgIt's that time of year: Chico is ringing in the holiday season with the Christmas Preview! Come get in the Christmas spirit with Downtown Chico as the community comes together to celebrate the season. Downtown will be filled with decorations, refreshments and entertainment, all brought to you by local businesses and organizations. It's a great time to be living in Chico

When and Where Will it Be?

Christmas Preview takes place on Sunday, November 22nd from 4 to 8 p.m. This event is held downtown at the plaza and on the surrounding streets.

What to Expect?

This event will have all of Downtown Chico covered head to toe with Christmas merriment. Expect the whole town to be filled with signs of the season. Here's an excerpt from the DCBA event page:

Downtown Chico officially kicks off the season in a tradition of holiday hospitality, with the the highly-anticipated Christmas Preview! Merchants debut their holiday offerings by inviting the community to delight in an evening filled with the sights, sounds and anticipation of the season.

Stores don beautiful decorations, provide entertainment and offer delicious refreshments. Strolling carolers and other entertainers add a special charm to the downtown streets. Santa will arrive to his station on Main Street (between 3rd & 4th) at 4:30pm - for a visit with the kiddos and a photo opportunity. (Note: Santa photos will be available for purchase. No personal photos will be permitted.)

What Should You Bring?

It's starting to get chilly, so be sure to dress nice and warm! Don't worry though, there'll be vendors serving hot chocolate, among other things, so be sure to bring cash as well. Besides that and any totes for anything you want to buy (perfect gift shopping opportunity!) all you need to bring are your loved ones and the holiday spirit.

Ticket Information

Here's Chico's little gift to you: The event is free and open to everyone! No ticket purchase necessary.
